The story begins about 25 years ago in the small town of Fyksin, not so small that everyone knew each other, but neither was it big enough to be given much thought. That's partially why it was chosen. Another reason had been that the people who ran the medical center were greedy enough to accept the offer. Perhaps it was due to a lack of creativity or that it was the main medical facility aside from the Hospital, but either way it was called the Center, where it all started.
The government had new medical drugs they wanted to test and see how they worked out. Now the reason they chose a town that was fairly unknown was because all the new drugs had unstable elements and they needed to find out the side effects and long term effects that they could cause. The Center happily agreed to testing the drugs on their patients in return for large amounts of money.
For quite a few years the drugs didn't seem to have any effects until one day a parent brought their child to the Center, worried about their child's abnormal strength. Made curious by the phenomenon they looked into the records for that family and found out that one of the child's parents had been one of the one's that the experimental drugs had been used on. It was from that day forward the Center began tracking the families, especially their children and not long after found that each child by the patients that were involved, developed special abilities. This led to them doing extensive research on them and thus due to the results, the government paid for the Center to expand, to conduct experiments on people directly using those unstable elements.
And thus it brings this story to more current times where it focuses on a specific few who find themselves drawn to each other and in a hard situation because of this corruption.
